How can The Safe Haven Practice help me?
At The Safe Haven Practice, we aim to provide our clients with the following:
- A kind and non-judgemental space
- Specialist support from a fully qualified and accredited therapist
- Swift and easy access to therapy with a maximum wait time of one week.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a family of talking therapies that is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physical sensations are all connected and form patterns.
It is these patterns that can maintain and worsen our mental health.

The benefits of CBT
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) provides independent, evidence-based guidance for the NHS on the most effective, proven treatments. CBT is recommended in NICE guidelines for many different difficulties.

“EMDR, and working with Katherine has been life changing for me to help process and navigate my trauma and the impact on my life, health and nervous system, years on. I feel more informed, have far more clarity and feel more in control of my emotional responses, now having an overall more positive outlook on life; which truly never felt open or possible before. I would recommend Safe Haven without question and encourage anyone who has tried ongoing talking therapies without any lasting impact to look into trauma-based CBT and EMDR as it has been the missing piece and utterly transformational.”
